Justin earned the West Division's Best Defenseman award. Scoring twenty four goals and adding fifty six assists, Baker led all Derbys in scoring with eighty points. His twenty four goals left him third on the team in goals scored.
Reliable in his own zone as demonstrated by his team leading +30 rating, Baker added a rugged dimension to his game as well leading the Derbys with seventy penalty minutes. Not surprisingly, he was a deadly weapon on the power play producing eleven goals and twenty three assists.
The Toronto, Ontario native notched a season high sixteen game point streak beginning on December 12th, 2009 with two points against the Toronto Jr. Canadiens and ending on January 30th, 2010 with two points against the Burlington Cougars. In total, he put up thirty four points during that streak.
Baker's single game high in points was a six assist effort on November 15th, 2009 against the Seguin Bruins.
